Hi Mike,

unfortunately the problem with the GUI which is not showing (black box) is not solved.

Both versions, 32- and 64-bit have still the same problem.

Happy to report that it looks like beta 3 will install in Sonar X1 finally!
I noted that at first, you have to check "enable as a plugin" in the plugin properties page for it to actually appear, but it scans and goes fine from there.

Now to test it out.

hmmm.
it seems the sync switch is working backwards in Sonar?
when i set it to "host" it will just sit there despite sending it start/stop from sonar. when set to "internal" it will actually start the pattern running once sonar tells it to "play".

IIRC the last time i tried this the INT setting would allow you to program inside of ABL without the host telling it what to do.

i did note that when launching the plugin it starts the audio engine right away. this is a good thing; most plugins dont do this in sonar and i wish they would.

all the automation (including tempo number) seems to work and be communicated into Sonar, so this is also good

Seem to still have some installer issues with Beta 3. I wish I could figure this out already, why some Windows versions can access all the files and others cannot. I believe the files are getting sandboxed somehow. We probably need to switch installers again.

Good to hear that it seems to be working in Sonar though!

Installed on Sonar 8.5.3 (Windows Vista 32 bit) without a problem (even using "Scan VST plugins at Start Up" option).

Sync to host worked fine for me.

I did a quick automation test and everything seemed to be working fine.

Mike

Sonar 8.5.3 (Windows Vista 32 bit) Dell Studio 1550 laptop. Beta 3.

1. Knob positions are not saved with the song. They revert to a kind of "default".

2. Can't copy and paste patterns from 2.5 to 2.90.

I only noticed 1. after installing another plug in, although that could just be coincidence. I have uninstalled that plug in and re-installed Beta 3, but the problem persists.

NB - I hope to be upgrading to Sonar X1 soon.

Regards

Wibwub

So I been playing and analyzing the update beta3 it does sound much closer... great job just a little more improvement.
1. More work on the slide it seems the second note wont play like sound on the sample group1...arrow pointing down.
2. Needs a more tighter decay when adding accent like what I hear on the sample group1.
3. The reason sample group1 is more warm sounding look at the analyzer curve of both. digital seems to push the harsh frequency

I`m having no problem its working fine, the new feature VCA clicks was off and the accent velocity level was at 127.
Great work guys hope this help.

Hi Mojses,

Yeah there might be slight alterations in the sound between versions. The final ABL2 64-bit version will have the same sound as the ABL2.5.2 version.

I'll look into your comments though.
